The Royal Hotel is located in the very center of the city, right by the St. Stephen's Cathedral and adjacent to the famous shopping boulevards of Graben, Kärntnerstrasse and Kohlmarkt. Because of its central setting, the Hotel Royal is particularly suitable as a base for sightseeing tours as well as for theater and opera visits in the evening. The one-time pilgrim hostel "Zum Roten Apfel" from 1566 was honored in 1708 by Emperor Josef I with the "imperial letter and seal." In 1931 the hotel was bought by the Kremslehner family, then completely destroyed during World War II and finally re-opened in 1960. All 77 rooms and 4 apartments are equipped with air-conditioning, bath, shower, WC, direct-dial phone, and other features. The Ristorante Firenze Enoteca Italian restaurant is a favourite hangout of Vienna's VIP's and opera celebrities. In the wine cellar, the biggest assortment of Italian wines in Austria reaches maturity. We offer baby sitting, car rental, secretarial services, valet services, laundry cleaning services and limited room service. Small pets are allowed at a fee.
