The hotel is closed till 2010 due to renovation works. The Palais Schwarzenberg hotel has been constructed in the beginning of the 18th century by Lukas von Hildebrandt and Bernhard Fischer von Erlach. Palais Schwarzenberg offers one of the most beautiful garden locations in Vienna. All baroque fountains and statues were created by Lorenzo Matielli and show the "Rape of the Sabine women" and "The Four Seasons". With its flowering rose hedges and romantic pathways, the hotel's garden creates special atmosphere. From spring to autumn this peaceful green oasis in the midst of the city offers a splendid setting for perfect days. Located in an extraordinary setting in the midst of a private park, the hotel features 44 historic guestrooms and suites in the main building as well as designer park rooms and suites in the left-side wing. All guest rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, toilet, hair dryer, cable-TV, radio and direct-dial telephone, mini-bar, safe and individually controlled air-conditioning. The six Designer Parkrooms and suites are located right in the private park, in an exclusive and quiet atmosphere. Their modern design, by Paolo Piva, an Italian architect, harmonizes wonderfully with the traditional ambience of the baroque Palais. The wine list features great Austrian selections and choice Bordeaux vintage wines. For those who are looking for a stylish and comfortable atmosphere the Kaminzimmer is just an enjoyable place, especially in winter months when a cup of tea is served in front of the fireplace. Guests can enjoy tea specialties, coffee, selected Viennese pastries and light meals. The "Palais Bar" serves a variety of cocktails, drinks, and fine wines accompanied by light meals.

Minimum stay of 5 nights applies for all those guests who want to stay over New Year's Eve.
