Positive aspects:
The service was first class, in fact the staff coulnd'nt do enough to please. The hotel was clean and tidy and there were fantastic views from the room. The hotel location was good and the half price drinks were very much appreciated.

Negative aspects:
The food was a little fussy for a country hotel. My personal view is that good wholesome Austrian food would be well received, ie a good soup, roast pork with knodel or goulash and some of the excellent deserts like Linzer torte or apfel strudel.Leave the fancy food to the city hotels.

Positive aspects:
Very friendly staff who were accomodating, polite and very smiled. The Bar area was great for having a relaxing drink. Half price drink were fantastic and made a huge difference to our stay. We had a baby with us and the staff were wonderful, put a cot in the room, cleaned sheets when our baby was sick (she was ill) and all with a big smile and a "no problem".

Negative aspects:
Rooms could do with referbishment as there was tatty decor, paint pealing, etc. Food was ok, 10/10 for effort although sometimes it was just not as good as it should have been. I hate saying this as they tried so hard. We tried to book the Almstrube but were told that it was not open only to find that evening it was.
