Run as an inn since the early 17th century, the "Schwarzer Adler" combines XV century Tyrolean tradition with XXI century luxury. During the times of Emperor Joseph II the neighboring Capuchin monastery was leased to the inn and converted to a pub.

Situated in the city center, near the congress hall, fair hall, old town and university, the hotel offers its guests comfort on a level that is normally experienced only by royalty.

The hotel features 32 individually created rooms and 7 theme suites equipped with air conditionig, cable TV, phone and mini-bar and showing superb views of the mountains.

In the suite "Maria Theresia" guests will enjoy an elegant Versace sleeping room, Swarovski crystals in the bathroom, open fireplace, music (from the stereo system) and the view over the old town of Innsbruck and the mountains.
Junior Suite "Crystal Dream" offers you an exciting view to the mountains, the old town of Innsbruck, the elegant four poster bed and the unique Swarovski bathroom with crystals, whirlpool and separate massage shower.
The suite "Crystal Dream" was voted as one of the most beautiful suites in the world.
Junior suite "Tyrol" is designed according to Feng Shui in modern Tyrolean style.
Junior suite "Emperor Maximilian" offers original antique furniture.
Versace-Business suite in Versace design is equipped with a separate living and reception/working area with ISDN connection, cozy sitting corner, mini-bar, TV, bathroom, extra toilette, sleeping room on the 2nd floor, extra TV, roof pitch, and wonderful view.
