Franz Sacher, the creator of the world-famous Sachercake, opened this hotel in 1881. It was enlarged and renovated with much loving care to keep the unique atmosphere of a hunting lodge, and reopened in 1997 as a 4-star luxury hotel. All of its 45 rooms have en-suite facilities, hairdryer, radio, cable TV, room safe, phone (ISDN), modem connection. There are also 14 holiday apartments for those seeking a closer contact with nature. Our hotel features an excellent restaurant, a garden house café, a small hotel bar, conference rooms for up to 64 people, a sauna, and there is also a car park for our guests.
