Sonngastein - "Sonne" means "sun" so the name stands for its location: our hotel is the sunniest one in the Gastein Valley, situated on one of the sunniest spots and sunny even when the sun should be hiding: our numerous indoor facilities for adults and children guarantee a fabulous and eventful holiday! Comfortably furnished, our rooms all have a bath or shower, toilet, satellite-TV, radio, telephone, safe deposit box and balcony. Our family studios are furnished in the same way and have two levels consisting of two rooms separated by stairs.
Our wellness area can be reached easily and directly with our elevator: a thermal indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, steam-bath and solarium can be found there as well as our cure and beauty department where we offer a variety of massages, beauty treatments and the classic thermal baths. On the same level you will find our squash court and our fitness gym. Furthermore, all under one roof, without risking wet feet you can reach our two indoor clay courts and the largest hotel-owned indoor play and fun park for children in Austria. And on the premises in front of the hotel our ice curling track invites you to a game of curling.
Without any pressure to participate, we aim at offering a wide range of leisure time activities such as: fun tennis tournaments, ice curling on our ice curling track, downhill ski and cross country ski excursions, introduction to golf, concert- and theatergoing, visits to the local Casino, card playing, dancing in our hotel bar, winter walking, water gymnastics etc......... You are most welcome to join in as you choose.
